Can anyone really turn their nose up at the Nike Air Force 1 Low? Unveiling a constant stream of new tweaks to that formula, Beaverton is betting “no, we can’t.” The timeless silhouette emerges here once again in its classic formulation, this time sporting “Cosmic Clay” accents to add extra pop.
Anyone with a passing familiarity with the Air Force 1 will find this drop familiar, keeping an all-white foundation and painting the heel tab, tongue branding, Swoosh and outsole in titular “Cosmic Clay.” However, looking at these from the bottom up may reveal the biggest bit of intrigue with this release. The speckled pattern that runs throughout the rubber outsole seems to hint towards “Nike Grind” construction, representative their ecologically-minded recycling initiative. We’ve gotten plenty familiar with designated “Next Nature” editions, but these arriving without any special subtitle may mean this will become part of the AF1 mainline sooner than later.
The Nike Air Force 1 “Cosmic Clay” is expected for release in the coming weeks, carrying a $115 retail price.
In other Nike Retro news, the Air 180 is back in 2024, with new images hinting towards a “Cult Classic” program re-release.
