At the height of the Web3 movement in 2022, Nike launched its own virtual space called dotSWOOSH, platform where Nike could bring intangible products to the demographic of future-thinking collectors. Considerable effort, though, has been on bringing goods irl, and on April 18th they’ll execute its second-ever tangible launch with the Air Force 1.

Dubbed the Air Force 1 “404 Error”, this upcoming sneaker mimics the all-too-common error pages on the internet often encountered by web sleuths that love to do the extra digging. In primitive font, Nike adds the moniker to the heel, with “The requested upper is not found. Try again.” printed just below. Added blips of detail appear via customized insoles and tongue labels.

The upper of the Air Force 1 “404 Error” is literally not found as it goes completely seamless in a bright blue patent leather; this design choice should pique the interest of well-seasoned AF1 collectors as it resembles the all-patent Air Force 1 Supreme from 2006 (pictured below).
