On top of its increasing foothold in the lifestyle space, New Balance remains acutely focused on the performance aspect, highlighted by its continued push around Fresh Foam. Already spreading into the runner space and onto the basketball court, Fresh Foam X, their latest innovation, is now entering the cross-training world with help from a familiar collaborative face.
Danish imprint GANNI has emerged as a reliable partner in past years, jumping into the mix in recent times on the T500, 2002R, and arguably their splashiest link-up, the 1906R. Leveraging their relationship to debut the new model is a shrewd move, and the two colorways on offer already showcase the model’s versatility.
In the silver and pink colorway, GANNI’s luxury design language is on full display, creating a delicate overall profile despite the sporty composition of the model at base. The other half of this capsule switches overtones, treading into more easily understood sport-style aesthetics with a more conservative red, black, and white arrangement. Even if they tackle different aesthetics, both pairs are joined by a slew of collaborative touches: dual pull-tabs on the heel and clasp-on charms hanging from the lace-stays, and a glimmering co-branded box arrive with either shoe.
The GANNI New Balance Fresh Foam Trainer releases globally on November 17th, retailing for $170 USD via stateside outlets. A collab makeup of the New Balance WRPD Runner was also announced in this press blast but will remain exclusive to China. You’ll find official images of either colorway included ahead with respective “Where To Buy” sections attached, populated with direct pickup links upon release.
