Anthony Edwards is on top of the world right now. Insane blocks and poster dunks have become regularly scheduled programing from the Minnesota Timberwolves star, and for our purposes, he’s entered the conversation regarding the NBA’s best new signature shoe with the adidas AE1.
The shoe’s first few colorways have been clean, and now unique treatments begin to surface with more frequency. An Atlanta Vikings PE inspired by Edwards’ youth football team surfaced a few weeks ago, now joined by a “McDonald’s All-American Game” shared by former hooper Gilbert Arenas.

The shoes appear with mixed red/blue cages on the left and right designs, respectively, producing a fitting “All-American” look. Yellow Three Stripes branding takes to both pairs on the heel, just under a stitched McDonalds logo on the pull tab in case you weren’t sure of the design inspiration. In 2019, Edwards started the All-American Game and scored 12 points to help power the East to a 115-100 victory in his hometown of Atlanta.
If and how the shoes will play a role in this year’s game on April 2nd remains a mystery, but don’t be shocked to see a pair on court come tip-off time. In any case, enjoy a close-up look at the pair below.
