As Reebok builds back their basketball division, the Reebok Engine A is an integral part of getting back on track, representing the initial step in that journey and their first brand-new hoops model in decades. While the NBA playoffs continues to provide opportunities for companies to flex what product is on the way, sadly Reebok is out of contention for the time being — the silhouette’s biggest endorser in Angel Reese obviously won’t take the floor until May, and sole NBA endorsee Matas Buzelis fell out as a result of the play-in.
However, that’s not stopping Reebok from striking while the iron is hot, with a black and grey colorway of the Engine A now surfacing via retail channels. Following up the “Silver” and “Solar Lime” variants, this presents easily the most eminently wearable edition of the basketball shoe to date, a sensible off-speed pitch given how those two predecessors doubled down on the futuristic construction of the shoe. Despite the stealthy, laid-back appearances, the same cutting-edge combo of tech remains in place: SuperFloat foam and patented ERS in the sole unit.
No official date has been attached to the Reebok Engine A in this black and grey colorway, but expect the typical $120 MSRP upon arrival. Catch sets of retailer shots included below and watch our Sneaker Release Dates for any additional info on this shoe that may surface in the coming weeks.
