The adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 Sports a Familiar Build

Name: adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 “Solar Orange”Colorway: Core Black/Solar OrangeSKU: HQ7468MSRP: $150 USDRelease Date: February 5, 2026Where to Buy: adidasAs the end of the year draws near, it’s almost time to look back on 2025’s launches and determine which will earn the title of sneaker of the year. For adidas, one of its frontrunners is the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish. Created in collaboration with Pharrell, the sneaker started turning heads at Paris Fashion Week back in January and has continued to draw the attention of the masses thanks to its uniquely layered, oversized build. While new colorways of the Jellyfish continue to trickle out, it looks like the Three Stripes has a takedown version of the shoe on the way next year. Spotted this past weekend in Las Vegas, the adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 offers a less extreme take on the Jellyfish. Pictured here in “Solar Orange,” the shoe even recreates the color scheme of the Jellyfish in “Orange,” with the bright hue combining with white, silver, and black. Wavy overlays, geometric Three Stripes branding, and a large sole unit come together for a simplified rendition of Pharrell’s new model. At the time of writing, adidas has not yet officially announced the Adistar XLG 2.0 and its release info. However, we currently expect it to debut in this “Solar Orange” colorway on February 5 of next year via adidas and select retailers at a starting price of $150 USD. Enjoy this early look at the model and stay tuned for updates, including official images, as we continue to monitor the Three Stripes’ rollout of the new silhouette.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast

Palace and Nike’s First Collaboration Leads This Week’s Best Footwear Drops

Of the many ongoing sports leagues capturing our attention currently, none can top what just happened in the World Series. The Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers went back and forth for 18 innings last night, with Freddie Freeman coming in as the hero for the Dodgers with a walk-off home run. As players (and fans) recover for game four tonight, the show must go on, and so will the footwear industry. Jordan Brand, Vans, PUMA, Nike, and New Balance have all prepared notable drops for this week, but before we dive into the complete lineup, let’s look back at what footwear news stood out to us in the past seven days.Nike led the way with the unveiling of NIKE, Inc. Sport Offense, a consolidated unit of innovation, design, and product teams from Nike, Jordan Brand, and Converse. It also teamed up with Zellerfeld to present the Air Max 95000, the duo’s second 3D-printed sneaker, one that builds upon the DNA of the Air Max 95. Speaking of the 1995 classic, we got an official look at the return of the Air Max 95 Zip and Eric Koston’s version of the SB-designed Air Max 95. Another shoe Nike SB is remixing is the Air Force 1, which finally leaked with a classic “Flax” colorway. The Nike SB team also saw official images of its Kirkland Signature-branded SB Dunk Low hit the net. Meanwhile, Jordan Brand’s rollout of the Air Jordan 40 continued with colorways that pay homage to the Air Jordan 16 and Air Jordan 23.Elsewhere in the industry, adidas hosted its “POWER OF THREE” runway event at Shanghai Fashion Week, sharing a preview of upcoming footwear projects. In addition to this, it dropped a new colorway of Pharrell’s adidas VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish, offering a “Blue” version exclusively in Las Vegas. Its key output was rounded out by the unveiling of Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, Bad Bunny, and adidas’ Bad Bunny Adiracer GT and Motorsport collection. New Balance made plenty of noise too, with Joe Freshgoods teasing a new ABZORB 2010 collaboration and Aimé Leon Dore’s RC56 appearing in an in-line “Blue Gemstone” colorway. The brand was also one of two featured in CDG’s latest set of sneaker collaboration launches. With all of the past week’s key headlines revisited, let’s dive into what to expect from the week to come, starting with another Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 1 Low OG. Once you complete your walkthrough of the 10 drops ahead of us, don’t forget to slide by HBX to shop styles that are available today.Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo Alternate”Release Date: October 29Release Price: $165 USDWhere to Buy: SNKRSWhy You Should Cop: It’s been nearly three years since Zion Williamson and Jordan Brand teamed up to create the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo.” The sneaker, with various branding elements flipped for a spooky effect, was followed by a special “Voodoo Alternate” pair that had no release details associated with it. Years later, the design is finally arriving in the hands of the public, with its “Regency Purple” and “Dark Raisin” composition revisiting the “Voodoo” theme with a fresh palette.UNDERCOVER x OTW by Vans Old Skool 36 & Era 95Release Date: October 29Release Price: $120 USD to $135 USDWhere to Buy: UNDERCOVER and HBXWhy You Should Cop: Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER and Vans have a storied history as partners. american football’s Iconic ‘LP1’ Album Cover Adorns an Exclusive OTW by Vans Authentic 44

Name: american football x OTW by Vans Authentic 44 “LP1”Colorway: TBCSKU: TBCMSRP: TBCRelease Date: October 28Where to Buy: Vansamerican football, the beloved Midwest indie band, has joined forces with OTW by Vans to unveil an Authentic 44 sneaker. This exclusive collaboration features the cover art from their influential 1999 self-titled debut album, affectionately known as LP1.The band, which originally formed in 1997, has spent the last two years commemorating the 25th Anniversary of LP1’s genre-defining success with a sold-out global tour. Central to the album’s legacy is the white suburban house featured on its cover, which has become a landmark for fans, even being labeled a “place of worship” on Google Maps. The house, a physical representation of the album’s melancholy, became so iconic that fans made pilgrimages just to recreate the cover shot.In a move to safeguard the musical landmark, the band, their record label Polyvinyl, and others purchased the property at 704 W. High Street in Urbana, Illinois, in May 2023. To celebrate this era, OTW by Vans and american football hosted an american football House(Warming) Party at the famed Urbana location. The intimate event was a Backyard BBQ style Skate Jam, honoring the local DIY skate scene and suburban roots that fostered the band. This Authentic 44 sneaker partnership closes the door on this commemorative period, grounding the band’s cultural impact in a tangible, wearable piece of art.”The house from the cover of LP1 has seemingly become a sort-of cultural identifier and blank canvas for fans to write themselves into or onto – an expression of creativity or humor or whatever they may be feeling at the time. And so we are thrilled to be able to collaborate with Vans OTW to incorporate that image so beautifully into the iconic design of their Authentic sneaker. Dream collab come true!” the band said in a statement.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
