Nike Air Force 1 Low “NYKE” Surfaces With ‘Def Jam: Fight for NY’ Details

Name: Nike Air Force 1 Low “NYKE”Colorway: Black/Black-BlackSKU: IO9792-001MSRP: $140 USDRelease Date: Spring 2026Where to Buy: NikeNike has introduced a new Air Force 1 Low titled the “NYKE,” which cleverly merges the brand name with New York City. The sneaker is heavily inspired by the grit and aesthetic of the cult-classic 2000s video game, Def Jam: Fight for NY.Originally released in 2004, Def Jam: Fight for NY is a landmark 3D hip-hop fighting game. In it, players create custom fighters to battle legendary rappers like Snoop Dogg and Busta Rhymes. The game achieved lasting cultural relevance by blending wrestling and street fighting with a raw, urban narrative.Meanwhile, the sneaker itself features a triple-black design, highlighted by a miniaturized embroidered Swoosh and graffiti-style “NYKE” branding on the heel. The most distinct feature is the icy blue translucent outsole, which reveals an iconic finishing line from the game: “While you’re down there, how about you shine my shoes?” This same line appears on the insoles, while a silver paint-marker hangtag provides a final nod to the city’s graffiti heritage. While the Nike Air Force 1 Low “NYKE” is not an official collaboration with the Def Jam franchise, its design subtly captures the game’s street-centric attitude and early 2000s New York aesthetic, offering a unique appeal to both gamers and sneakerheads.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast

Nike Reveals the EKIN-Exclusive Air Jordan 1 Low “Never Not Working”

SummaryEKINs, Nike’s special brand ambassadors, are receiving their sixth promotional sneakerThe first EXIN-exclusive made by Jordan Brand is the Air Jordan 1 Low “Never Not Working”200 numbered pairs are being handed out exclusively to EKINsNobody lives the Swoosh like an EKIN. The brand’s special ambassador program was founded in 1981 and is known for consisting of Nike’s most dedicated leaders. These “athlete missionaries” are occasionally treated to promotional pairs limited to just EKINs, such as 2020’s Dunk Low. Five years later, an Air Jordan 1 Low has been crafted for the crew in celebration of the model’s 40th anniversary. The first EKIN-exclusive from Jordan Brand, this pair takes on a “Never Not Working” theme that nods to how not a moment goes by where an EKIN isn’t working. Whether it be hosting a special pop-up or connecting with their community, EKINs are the face of the Swoosh. The shoe features a “Shattered Backboard”-esque color scheme, with black, off-white, and orange combining together. Distressed lateral Swooshes and midsole wear are a reference to the “weathered experience” of being an EKIN while the aforementioned “Never Not Working” callout can be spotted at the interior side of the tongue tag. On the other side of the tag, the Jumpman logo is joined by an “E4L” (EKIN for Life) nod. The EKIN logo is also present at the right shoe’s heel, replacing the standard Wings logo found on the left shoe. Rounding out the pair is a sublimated print of the Jumpman skyline photo at the sockliner and within the pair’s special box.The Air Jordan 1 Low “Never Not Working” will only be distributed to EKINs. With a mere 200 numbered pairs in circulation, this is sure to go down as a grail for many Air Jordan 1 collectors.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
