Summary

  • Dover Street Market is back with another set of CDG launches, this time hosting three key sneaker drops
  • The Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance 471, Comme des Garçons Homme x New Balance 509, and Comme des Garçons x Salomon SR811 have all arrived via the boutique

The primary retail home of Rei Kawakubo’s Comme des Garçons empire is Dover Street Market. Its global system of cutting-edge storefronts is known as the go-to space for the many CDG lines, and has returned this week with a stacked roster of CDG footwear collaborations that were previewed during Paris Fashion Week back in January.

Up first is the Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance 471, which we first discussed in January. A suede and polyester upper hosts compositions of “Grey” and “Black,” with the Junya wordmark present at both the heel tabs and sockliner. From there, the Comme des Garçons Homme x New Balance 509, another collab we previewed at PFW, offers CDGH branding at the tongue and sockliner while appearing in “Grey” and “White.” Rounding out the range is the return of the women’s Comme des Garçons x Salomon SR811 platform sneaker. The oversized rubber sole unit combines with a leather upper featuring debossed Salomon branding, maintaining monochromatic makeovers of all-black and all-white.

The Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance 471, Comme des Garçons Homme x New Balance 509, and Comme des Garçons x Salomon SR811 are all available now via Dover Street Market. Prices start at £155 GBP (approx. $207 USD) for the Junya collab to $480 USD for the Salomons.
