Nike and Tom Sachs are pushing the General Purpose Shoe into a new phase with an upcoming “Black” colorway. Following the recent revival of the duo’s collaborative partnership and restocks of original editions, the utilitarian sneaker is returning with a noticeably elevated material update.
This upcoming iteration replaces the familiar knit and synthetic build with a structured perforated leather upper. The stealthy black base is sharply contrasted by stark white detailing across the Swoosh and heel tab. To balance the monochromatic look, subtle Team Royal pull tabs are integrated into the design for a slight pop of color. Grounding the shoe is a dark brown EVA midsole paired with a black waffle-style outsole, maintaining the model’s signature everyday durability and accessibility.
The Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe “Black” is expected to drop during the Spring/Summer 2026 season.
