Following a recent partnership with BILLY’S, Vans continues its “Year of the Horse” celebrations by teaming up with renowned artist Bolin. Known for his masterful black-based watercolor paintings, Bolin applies intricate zodiac motifs through traditional Chinese techniques to modern themes across three silhouettes from the Vans Premium line.

The Premium Authentic 44 serves as the collection’s centerpiece, featuring a festive red upper adorned with gold horse motifs and calligraphy. In a striking departure from usual models, the laces are replaced with Chinese knots crafted from twisted red string. The outsole also features the playful phrase “Ma Shang Jiu Hao,” a linguistic pun that uses the Chinese character for “Horse” to wish the wearer immediate good luck.

The Premium Old Skool offers a more understated aesthetic, pairing a crisp white base with wine-red accents and subtle horse illustrations. Rounding out the capsule, the Premium Half Cab Reissue 33 utilizes contrasting suede textures in dark, luxurious tones. Both models feature traditional Chinese buttons on the shoe laces, seamlessly blending heritage craftsmanship with classic skate culture.
