Eric Koston’s Nike SB Air Max 95 Drops Next Month

Name: Eric Koston x Nike SB Air Max 95Colorway: Obsidian/Speed Yellow/Midnight Navy/Summit WhiteSKU: HQ8492-400MSRP: $190 USDRelease Date: November 2025Where to Buy: NikeUpdate: We previewed a special Eric Koston-themed version of Nike SB’s new take on the Air Max 95 earlier this year. Now, the Swoosh has offered an official look at the sneaker. The shoe dons a Michigan-like colorway with “Obisidan” blue joining “Speed Yellow” and “Summit White.” As described in our initial breakdown below, Thai script is present at the toe-tip, a detail that Koston personally requested as a nod to his heritage and early SB designs. A release date has not yet been confirmed, however, Nike Canada is planning to drop its stock on November 4. Stay tuned for additional updates as we await further information.Original Story: Skateboarding legend Eric Koston has remained one of Nike SB’s most prominent figures for well over a decade. From fronting campaigns to presenting high-powered footwear collaborations and even leading his own signature shoe line, Koston continues to play a key role in guiding the division. One storyline involving the Nike SB team that we’ve kept a close eye on is its skate-oriented version of the Air Max 95 that is en route for the model’s 30th anniversary. We previewed a sample of the lead “Cactus Flower” colorway and now have an in-hand preview of an “Obsidian/Speed Yellow” take on the shoe dedicated to Koston. In addition to modifications made for skaters, the sneaker’s University of Michigan-esque colorway sees “koston” branding visible at the right shoe’s tongue tag and Nike SB callouts at the heel and outsole. The shoe also features Thai script that translates to “Nike” at the lateral toe, nodding to Koston’s birthplace of Thailand. At the time of writing, neither Eric Koston nor the Nike SB team have indicated when their collaborative take on the SB version of the Air Max 95 will be dropping. Stay tuned for updates, including official images of the kicks, as we currently expect this pair to drop by the end of the year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $190 USD. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Yyt_Snkrs (@yyt_snkrs)Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast

The Retro-Inspired Air Jordan 4016 “Midnight Navy” Surfaces

Name: Air Jordan 4016 “Midnight Navy”Colorway: White/Metallic Silver/Midnight NavySKU: IR2080-100MSRP: $205 USDRelease Date: Fall 2025Where to Buy: NikeJordan Brand is paying homage to its own history by converting a modern performance silhouette into a nostalgic icon with the upcoming Air Jordan 4016 “Midnight Navy.” This shoe is a meta-tribute that takes the technology of the recent Air Jordan 40 and reimagines it through the unforgettable aesthetic of the Air Jordan 16 model. The “4016” is a striking blend of retro and future. It carries the Air Jordan 40’s advanced construction, which notably features a full-length Zoom Strobel unit stacked over ZoomX foam for marathon-level, explosive cushioning. However, the exterior is a direct reference to the AJ16’s classic “Midnight Navy” colorway, first seen in 2001.The shoe adopts the AJ16’s signature design element: a sleek, black removable shroud that covers the laces and the ankle collar. In this “Midnight Navy” edition, this overlay is seen to be executed in a rich, dark navy blue, providing a sharp contrast to a white leather upper and accents. This hybrid approach allows the wearer to choose between the aggressive, shielded look of the AJ16 and the stripped-down performance of the AJ40 beneath. The Air Jordan 4016 “Midnight Navy” is set for release in Fall 2025 and will retail for approximately $205 USD.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast

A Walk Down Memory Lane with Timberland: Over Five Decades of Standing Tall

As Hypebeast celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, we reflect on the brands that have left a long-lasting legacy within the streetwear arena. In 1973, Timberland’s Original Yellow Boot™ was born out of factory workers’ desire for a shoe that could do it all — something sturdy and waterproof that could support them through even New England’s harshest weather. The boot soon traversed through the Paninaro movement in Italy, London’s rave culture, and was proudly adopted by the ‘90s NYC hip-hop scene. After proving its worth as a shoe that could transcend cultures and demographics, the Yellow Boot was cemented as a global statement piece for fashion lovers, blue-collar workers, stars and athletes alike. By the time the ‘70s and ‘80s eras emerged, its popularity urged the brand to release three new silhouettes: the Euro Hiker, the 40-Below Superboot and the 3-Eye Lug Handsewn Boat Shoe. Now, Timberland continues to pen new chapters to that story with novel innovations and collabs with some of the hottest contemporary labels. Taking a walk down memory lane, we laid out some of the brand’s most coveted collabs and releases over the past two decades. In 2009, Timberland introduced the first of many collaborations with Alife. The two labels’ most recent partnership yielded the 2021 Timberland x Alife Superboot, which showed a more extended upper. The brand also debuted collaborations with Stüssy and Colette in 2009 and 2010. Other standout collabs from the 2010s included the Supreme launches (a favorite for fashion and footwear collectors), Bee Line partnerships, and OFF-WHITE, Louis Vuitton and Jimmy Choo exclusive drops.Bringing the brand’s legacy into today’s framework, Timberland continues to capture the attention of the masses through unforgettable campaigns, like its 2024 ICONIC campaign featuring Naomi Campbell, Teddy Swims, Slawn and Kai-Isaiah Jamal and the 2025 Advice of an Icon campaign starring Spike Lee, Kiko Mizuhara and Skepta. All of these initiatives show the evolution of Timberland through different eras — but one icon remains the throughline: the Original Yellow Boot™.Learn more about Timberland’s legacy through the decades and the recently released Fall/Winter 2025 offerings on timberland.com.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
