Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker is continuing to integrate his passion for classic automobiles into his signature footwear line with the upcoming Nike Book 1, drawing inspiration from his personal 1996 Chevy Impala SS. This special edition, referred to as the “Impala,” expands on the shoe’s “Future Classic” design ethos – a blend of performance engineering and lifestyle wearability – by paying homage to one of the most iconic cars of the 1990s. The colorway is expected to reflect the aesthetic of the classic car, boasting a” Dark Cherry” and “Metallic” palette and glossy patent leather upper that mirrors the Impala’s deep paint finishes.

The Nike Book 1 silhouette itself is a fusion of heritage models, taking elements from the Air Force 1, the Blazer and the Air Jordan 1. Functionally, the shoe maintains a court-ready construction, fueled by a stacked Cushlon 2.0 foam midsole and a top-loaded Zoom Air unit in the heel, with added TPU walls for enhanced stability.
